EU PlayStation Store Update: 28/07/15 – Life Is Strange, The Swindle & N++

There might not be a big retail release for people to pick up this week, but there’s more than enough digital games to keep you occupied. Life Is Strange’s penultimate episode brings another outstanding few hours of story to the critically acclaimed series, on the one hand, while The Swindle puts you in the shoes of a master thief trying to preserve their life of crime, and then there’s the seemingly endless minimalist platforming in N++.

They’re also joined by the first episode of a new King’s Quest game, under the revitalised Sierra Entertainment brand, and an anniversary release of Legend of Kay. There’s a return to the serene snowy landscapes and stories of Alaskan natives with the Never Alone: Foxtails DLC, or in complete contrast, you can enjoy the roar of ludicrously powerful cars, as the final pieces of the Driveclub season pass are released and celebrate all things with too much horsepower.

  1. Definitely going to pick up N++ but I’m going to wait until they fix the plus discount, according to the developers post on the blog from 2 weeks ago we were supposed to be getting a 20% discount, not 10% as the store has it at the moment.

    • So, as is usually the case for SCEE, there has been a cock up. As they just copied and pasted the actual blog post from the US blog we were never actually going to get the 20% discount. According to one of the devs (via twitter) that was purely for the US as a pre-order incentive and apparently it would be unfair to give the UK/EU a blanket 20% discount for everyone. It gets weirder, as he also went on to say that it wasn’t possible to have a pre-order available for Europe.
      So, not only do we pay more anyway, we also get a lesser discount.

        I always thought that their mantra was: € = $ = £.

  2. Ugh, forgot these were on Tuesdays now. Am I the only one that actually preferred the Wednesday?

    Just seems there’s too much going on of a Tuesday now & I have found the PSN unable to handle it a few times (at least I assume that’s what the issue is – When its gone down for me recently, it’s been a Tuesday).

    Also, what’s ‘Kung Fury: Street Rage’? Seems to redirect to a broken page?

  3. I know exactly what you mean ,for heavens sake don’t the honchos at SCEE realise it’s Steak night in Wetherspoons on a Tuesday.
