We’re just a few days away from the release of LEGO Dimensions and grown men and woman across the country can’t wait to get their hands on the toys. This is actual fact, I have been advising a work colleague who is purchasing a PS4 just so he can play the game.
Warner Bros. have been flexing their movie muscles and have lined up an incredible cast for the game. We knew Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd would return for the Back to the Future pack and now it has also been revealed that Chris Pratt returns as Emmet, Elizabeth Banks as Wyldstyle, Alison Brie as UniKitty and Charlie Day as Benny, all from the LEGO Movie.
Chris Pratt also returns as Owen Grady, joining Irrfan Khan as Simon Masrani from Jurassic World. Peter Capaldi is the 12th Doctor, Jenna Coleman is Clara Oswald, and Michelle Gomez is Missy from Doctor Who. From the DC Universe, Troy Baker is Batman and Tara Strong is Harley Quinn, whilst Stephen Merchant is Wheatley and Ellen McLain is GLaDOS from the Portal video game series.
New to the LEGO world are Joel McHale is X-PO, the game’s robot guide, and Gary Oldman is Lord Vortech, the evil mastermind who seeks to control the LEGO Multiverse.
Members of the original cast of Ghostbusters, Lord of the Rings, The Simpsons and Scooby-Doo are also promised. Warner Bros. also say many “many other original actors” from the featured franchises will also be making a return. I’ve managed to hold off buying the game but if there’s a LEGO Captain Jack Harkness I won’t be able to resist any further.
