The Old Hunters Come To Bloodborne In November

With 2 million in sales under its belt, Bloodborne was a successful and very popular adaption of the Dark Souls gameplay into a new direction. Of course, just releasing the game into the wild wasn’t the end of this plans and Sony have announced a large new expansion to the game at their TGS press conference, set for release on November 24th.

Entitled The Old Hunters, it delve deeper into the history of the world and the hunters that came before. There’s plenty of new weapons on show, from a bow and arrow to an odd looking circular saw on a stick, as well as some new enemies.

  1. Just started playing this. Its so weird not to be able to have a proper shield but use a blunderbuss instead. Certainly early game at least this is way more challenging than Demons Souls.

    • The gun can be handy for parrying if you time it right but with limited ammo, frequently dodging is the way to stay alive.

  2. Awesome, this & MGS, have been my instant classics on PS. The only game I will break my no DLC purchase rule & buy the DLC for, worth every penny

  3. As one of the reasons I bought the PS4, I’m glad to have an excuse for my hawk man and his chopper to delve deeper into the madness. It can’t come sooner!

  4. it looks like a decent expansion, although i’ll have to try and complete the main game first!

  5. Look like I have until late November to Platinum the base game then :-) Took several attempts but defeated Amelia last night. Blood starved beast is next on the hit list but I’ve heard he’s a nightmare for new players

    • If you already know where to go for BSB, look around outside and you will see a place where the game allows you to summon a character you met earlier to assist you in that fight. It still won’t be easy.. :)

  6. Looks good. Will be a hard choice of what to play come November but I did love a bit of Bloodborne! Excellent game.
