EU PS Store Update: 22/09/15 – FIFA 16, SOMA, And Blood Bowl 2

This week’s big game is the mighty behmoth known as FIFA 16 which is available in a number of different editions on PlayStation 4. If you don’t subscribe to PlayStation Plus then the Curve Digital Instant Indie Collection Volume 1 might tempt you with Thomas Was Alone, The Swapper, and Stealth Inc for a penny under £18.

This week also finds Pumped BMX+, Penarium, Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma TrilogyBlood Bowl 2, and Extreme Exorcism, all released for Sony’s big console.

My PS4 pick of the week has to be SOMA, priced at a very reasonable £23.99 for around 12 hours of gameplay. Buy it, turn off all the lights, turn on the surround sound and prepare to be immersed and psychologically disturbed, more details can be found in my review.

PlayStation 3 owners just get one game this week, FIFA 16, and just one version at that. PS Vita owners fair better with Heroes of LootPumped BMX +, and Strike Solitaire & Strike Solitaire 2, because you can never have enough Strike Solitaire.

There is also a sale on The Last of Us items to celebrate Outbreak Day, and this will run from 23rd September until 7th October with savings of 30-50%. This includes The Last Of Us on PS4 which is now €19.99/AU$29.95/£15.99.

  1. I do want SOMA, and don’t doubt it’s worth it, but I’ll wait for the inevitable PSN sale. Or with any luck it might get a physical release.

Another than that I just have to try and resist the urge to buy any FUT points.

    • When I played Fifa 13, I got carried in search of the dreaded player of the week trophy. Thank god that trophy has not been repeated since.

  2. I guess there’s no news of when the 2nd episode of Kings Quest is released is there?

  3. For those who like these things and have a spare couple of hundred hours next month…

There’s a demo of Disgaea 5 up today as well. The first 4 stages of chapter 1 and you can carry your save file over to the full game next month, apparently. You might wonder why it’s only on the PS4, when the previous games were hardly pushing the PS3 to it’s limits. It’s also barely pushing the PS4, really. But I suspect the slightly improved graphics are going to come in handy when you want to see what’s going on in some of the more chaotic battles. (Item worlds and the like)

  4. Just a heads up that soma is 2 quid cheaper if you’re a plusser. I liked the look of it but tuffcubs reccomendation pushed me over the edge. If i don’t like it’s obviously totally his fault

    • That price is a mistake, isn’t it? It’s supposed to be £13.99 or £11.59 with PS+? Although the 10% PS+ discount would be wrong if someone had just typed a 2 instead of a 1.

How much is it supposed to be??

      • I hope not as ive just bought it!
