This is one of those news posts where I sit and stare at my screen for about twenty minutes as my brain tries to work out exactly what is going on. Let’s stick to the facts, that should help.
So, the forthcoming release of Senran Kagura Estival Versus will launch with a number of special editions including the Bahonkas Edition which includes a pillow.
You read that correctly, that’s the Bahonkas Edition.
But not just any pillow, oh no, this is a hugging pillow, a large, long pillow with a scantily clad character from the game on both the front and the back of the design. You can actually bury your face in the actual pillows of an anime girl.
The pack also includes an art book, two audio CDs, collector cards, and a special presentation box. You can order the game (which seems to involve shoving sticks in young ladies cleavage) via the Marvelous Games website.
Bahonkas.

You see plenty of these in Japanese game/anime stores. Heck I’ve seen stories of people taking them out for the day, they’re still judged as odd by mainstream Japanese society just as we will see this as strange, it’s just that their oddities are more odd/different to our oddities.

If I moved into a house and found one of these in the garage, I would pay someone to dispose of it discretely. That’s how weird these things are.

Now THAT, that has to be the weirdest thing I’ve seen in a long time.

I’m presuming and hoping that I’m not the only one that finds this type of thing very disturbing. The images of what appear to be very young girls are, in my eyes, very suspiciously young and the images are all of a titillating nature.

My wife has one of these to help ease the aches and pains of pregnancy. Obviously without the boobies drawn on it, or the art book, cd and game. So it’s just a long pillow really.
