Destructoid have have confirmed a rumour that testing on a VR addition to Until Dawn is in progress. Rather than be part of the story the additional content seems to be an on-the-rails side mission in first person mode, with your charcater armed and fighting off things (I’m being vague here just in case you haven’t played the game yet.)
The source describes the game, tentatively titled Rush of Blood, as being only twenty minutes long, so perhaps this will be a little demo game f0r PSVR rather than a full blown expansion, but of course the source may have not seen the whole game.
Until Dawn developers Supermassive Games were recently asked about PSVR support and denied the game would be getting it, but in hindsight it’s clear they left a rather big clue that they were fibbing.
PlayStation VR cropped up in conversation a few times during development but no, we don’t expect that there’ll be an edition of the Until Dawn story to be playable in VR anytime soon. Not unless somebody has a sudden rush of blood!
Very sly, Supermassive, very sly.

I see what they did there… Nice.
Well I was well impressed with Until Dawn, it was far better than I expected it to be. If they can create a VR 20min demo with the same looks & intensity, I’ll be one step closer to considering buying the PS VR headset thingy.
