Retro City Rampage Sequel Shakedown Hawaii Revealed By VBlank

VBlank Entertainment has announced a sequel to Retro City Rampage in the form of Shakedown Hawaii, which is set 30 years after the events of Retro. Shakedown Hawaii also abandons the 8-bit era and moves on to the 16-bit era, allowing for more destructible environments and more powerful weapons. VBlank has confirmed that this sequel will release on PS4 and Vita, with the official site also showing that it will come to Steam and certain Nintendo consoles.

The plot of Shakedown Hawaii follows The Player as he comes out retirement to rebuild a corporate empire that has fallen without his leadership. Of course instead of doing this in board meetings he chooses to go for the more violent options. There’s no release date yet but the Shakedown Hawaii will be playable at the PlayStation Experience.

  1. Looks nothing like a PS4 game either

  2. I’m not a huge fan of these pixelated indie games, but the animations and detail seem to have been expanded on since RCR and this actually looks decent enough, might even pick it up on Vita.

  3. Who cares! Retro City Rampage was awesome and one of the first games in years where I really felt a sense of achievement beating it! No hand holding at all!
