Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Closed Beta Sign Ups Go Live With A New Story Trailer

DICE’s Mirror’s Edge reboot is just a handful of months away, but with a little luck you’ll be able to get your hands on and try out the game before then, with registration for a closed beta opening up today.

Beyond that, we don’t know what the beta will entail, when it will happen, or how wide EA will spread invitations and codes. We do know that it’s a closed beta, and so you need to head over to the Mirror’s Edge site and register for the possibility of getting a code, though that doesn’t guarantee you access.

Alongside the beta sign ups, they’ve also released a new story trailer for the game, which shows how a rebellious Fair Connors crosses Gabriel Kruger and the city’s Conglomerate. It definitely looks like a much more ambitious and involved story than was in the original game.

But seriously. Beta. Go sign up. Otherwise you’ll definitel have to wait until May 26th to play.

  1. I loved the look and feel of the 1st game and this looks very impressive. Colour me interested ;)

  2. Ah feck. Now I need to desperately remember my login details.

  3. Still can’t believe they’re actually making this. Thanks for the heads up, can’t wait to play it either way.

  4. Thanks for that, I don’t think I’ve ever clicked through a link so quickly.

Mirror’s Edge is easily my most anticipated game.

  5. So went to sign up for the beta, it asks to select your country and gives a drop down box of countries to choose except for Ireland!! You have Ukraine and India but not Ireland..eh what gives EA?!

    • Switzerland wasn’t on the list either. Then I realised it said to choose the country the psn account is linked to, which then, in my case, was on the list.

  6. Very much loved the first one, very much looking forward to this, immediately signed up for it.
