It may surprise you to know that before footy games went all posh and FIFA-ish I rather used to enjoy a digital kickabout. Sensible Soccer and Kick Off were firm favourites, along with Speedball 2 of course, so I couldn’t be happier that the legendary Dino Dini is bringing Kick Off back, exclusively to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
The new game will take elements of Kick Off and it’s sequels and shove them in today’s super powered consoles which allow for improved AI and other such trickery. The first screenshots from the alpha have been posted, and Kris has recently got his hands on the game and will be posting his thoughts very soon, so keep an eye out for that.

Improved AI? By the looks of that third screenshot, I’m not convinced. No defenders back, and a player offside.
Wonder if the touch screens on vita will be used.

Can’t wait for both this and Sociable Soccer, although I can do without the inevitable b*tching and moaning by all the spilt brats who don’t appreciate where games grew from.
