The Division’s Free Incursion DLC Will Be Available On April 12th

Ubisoft has announced that The Division will be getting some free DLC in the form of Incursion, adding a new squad based endgame activity. The first of these incursions is called Falcon Lost, and will have players fighting the Last Man Battalion in a new underground water treatment stronghold. Falcon Lost has two difficulties with the first being hard and suited to those who are around level 31 thanks to gear level. A tougher option than hard is also on offer. Falcon Lost will not have any checkpoints, so if your team fails then you will have to start the Incursion again.

The DLC will additionally have four new rare gear sets. These are Sentry’s Call, Striker’s Battle Gear, Path of the Nomad, and Technician’s Authority, with each having their own advantages. Sentry’s Call favours players that are all about precision, while Striker is for the assault player. Equipping four pieces from one of these sets will unlock a new talent, though those have not been revealed.

The Gear Score will come into play as well, boosting player’s stats after reaching the Level 30 cap. Loot trading will be possible with other players in your group. All you have to do is drop it on the ground so someone else can pick it up, though in the Dark Zone this can only be done in gate areas. Assignments, aka daily challenges, will offer other ways to earn things like Phoenix credits, and gear for your agent.

Enemies will now deploy drones into fights which adds a new foe to focus on within fights. Air drops will occur at certain points in the Dark Zone, offering uncontaminated loot that will be heavily guarded. Once you acquire uncontaminated loot in the Dark Zone you won’t lose it even if killed.

A second free update called Conflict will be released further down the line. The three paid DLC content, Underground, Survival, and Last Stand, will release later this year. The first two will have 30 day Xbox One exclusivity, while Last Stand will be available for all platforms at the same time.
