A friend has just asked me “When did Powers arrive on the PlayStation Store?” and I chuckled back that it had not. Except it has, at least the first three episodes of season two, all of which are dated as being released today. According the PlayStation store I have already purchased them, so either they are free of part of PlayStation Plus.
A month ago it was revealed that Spike TV have the rights to the first series in the UK, which may explain why that is not on the PSN, or possibly this is all just a mistake.
UPDATE: The show is free for PlayStation Plus members.

The “TV shows” section of the store has a massive advert for season 2 with the words “Powers Season 2 is available to watch free if you’re a PlayStation Plus member”. If you look at it on the website it doesn’t just say “purchased” with that little bag icon. That icon magically turns into a little yellow plus sign.
It can’t be a mistake with the massive advert, can it? Ok, it’s Sony, so it could be.
Certainly weird that you can watch the first 3 episodes of the 2nd series when only the first 3 of the 1st series have been shown in the UK so far. And the episode descriptions are massive spoilers too. Maybe not the best thing to put in the middle of an article about it?

What strange to me is the way it appeared for me in my video collection on the Playstation Video app where as one or two things I got from PSN over the years (on my PS3) didn’t.
