As expected, Sea of Thieves looks bloody amazing. Craig Duncan, studio head over at Rare, took to the Microsoft to show off gameplay for the upcoming title. As with all the major titles we’ve seen tonight, Sea of Thieves is part of the Xbox Play Anywhere imitative, unlocking both versions with a single purchase.
The multiplayer gameplay reel depicts a handful of pirate clans as they take their first steps with no tutorials or guidance. Hilarity ensues, of course, as ships set sail and crew mates get left behind. It looks as though teamwork will play a vital role as you go about finding treasure and battling a bestiary of sea creatures.
Did we mention there’s grog?

This looks awful! Judging by the visuals I’d say this is aimed at kids, but the fact the characters are drinking alcohol & they have adults playing the game confuses me. They’re obviously actors too, very bad actors – It’s embarrassing.
