Nintendo Classic Mini Isn’t The Hardware Announcement We’re Waiting For

Nintendo just announced a new console, but it’s not the one that many of us are wanting to see. It’s called the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System, which while it’s descriptive, keeps up Nintendo’s trend of poorly named hardware. It’s out on November 11th, though no price has been announced.

It’s pretty obvious what it does, from the name and hardware design, with 30 classic NES titles built into the box, styled like a miniaturised NES. It features a HDMI port for your TV and USB for power – you need your own AC adapter though, as one isn’t included – and there’s one Nintendo Classic Mini: NES Controller included. You can buy a second separately, but the ports are the same as those on the Wii Remote, meaning you can also use a Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro.

And those 30 games? Well they’re a lot of the usual suspects.

  1. WANT! For £50, this is an absolute steal. As someone who owns an original NES and enjoys collecting these old games, some of them are really expensive!
