Dragon Quest Builders Release Confirmed For 14th October

Square Enix said the game would be out in October, and they weren’t lying. The release date for Dragon Quest Builders cemented as 14th October in the EU and 11th October in the US, with the game coming out for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

As you take on the task of rebuilding Alefgard and taking the fight to the Dragonlord that destroyed it, with you the only person able to wield the power to build, the comparisons to Minecraft are inevitable. Still, there’s plenty of action RPG gameplay in the mix as well.

There’s to be a Day 1 edition of the game, with a voucher code to unlock three exclusive recipes that can be used in the free build mode:

  • Springtide Sprinkles Recipe – An item that allows you to transform trees into festive Cherry Blossoms and soil into comfortable straw floor blocks
  • Slimy Block Recipe – Allows you to craft delightful blocks adorned with cute blue Slimes! (The blocks aren’t actually slimy but they are super cute!)
  • Gold Block Recipe – Allows you to show off your opulent side with blocks made of pure gold!

  1. Sorry Dragonquest Builders , you’ll have to join my ‘frontlog’. ie games that i intend playing but haven’t been released yet and when they do, i might not be able to devote time to play them immediately.
There, i’ve coined a new term. Because ‘backlogs’ are so ‘yesterday’ man. ‘Frontlogs’ are the future! ;)

  2. Haha Frontlogs that will now officially be the term. You better copyright that.

You could call it futurelogs but that might mean something else entirely.

Frontlogs will be the death of me to many great games coming out with not enough time to play
