Microsoft Are Getting Pretty Sassy On Twitter Right Now

I’m loving Microsoft’s cheekiness on Twitter right now. They’re not just sitting back while Sony announce and release new console hardware, but are taking the fight to them a little bit by touting some of the key features on the Xbox One S.

Today’s tweet espouses mod support for Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition which has been cancelled on PS4, Xbox One’s backward compatibility and the “fastest, most reliable gaming network.

And then there’s the original tweet from Wednesday.

Now, how good would it be if Sony started to get a few little digs of their own in? Even if they don’t, I hope Microsoft keep poking the bear like this…

  1. I pre ordered the pro, not got an ‘s’ but why would i when they already told me a better versions out next year.

My defaults the ps but i like my xbox too, cant everyone just get along they’re both more or less the same.

Now everyone stop bickering before that one guy who plays on a pc turns up and tells everyone to play on that

  2. #TeamOuya

  3. It is amusing and gets the comments flowing. Remember the “Xbox loves you” down the river during a PlayStation interview. Or the classic how to lend a game to your friend on PS4.
Regardless of features, sales or a pissing contest between House and Spencer, it is entertaining for us gamers.

Just waiting for the “ya mum” playground insults

  4. Sorry Mcrosoft and Apple. Your Jedi-esque mind tricks don’t work on me. The answer remains no.

  5. Just like when Sony were trolling with “this is how you exchange used games”, these tweets are #forthefanboys.
The hard fact is that Microsoft need to win back some market share and anything they can do to achieve that is fair game. The industry will do much better overall if flavor of the moment switches to Xbox for a while, a one-horse race can’t be sustained forever.

  6. Greatest games?? lol looks like xbox is in denial.

    • Halo, Forza, Gears etc all great games. They should change it to play “some of the greatest games”.

      • Or, play the exact same games you played on the 360, reskinned.

Both are guilty of this to be fair.

  7. What are they measuring “greatest games” on, pie in the sky? My xbox has been used a media player for the last 12 months as there have been no exclusives of interest to me. I only kept it for Quantum Break and that ended up being a terrible game. Where are these “greatest games” you mention MS, how do you measure them against PC and PS4 to claim they are the greatest?

  8. At a guess – the same way you measured Quantum Break as a terrible game ;-)

    • By actually playing it, watching the dire TV episode bits, seeing how terrible and repetitive the gameplay was. Thats how they decide their console has the greatest games, OK then.
