It’s EGX this weekend, so how many of you TSA’ers are off to Birmingham to try out the latest and greatest? Let us know what the highlights were, and what games currently need a bit more polish!
Elsewhere, we’ve had quite the week! Bake Off, Brangelina and a bucket load of games were released this week to keep us busy – so let’s begin!
In the News This Week
- Driveclub VR Has 114 Tracks, 80 Cars
As well as being back on track as a launch title, Sony revealed that Driveclub VR will have an impressive roster of tracks and cars to get to grips with. Tuffcub also added an editorial view on the Bake Off saga.
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Will Not Be Upgraded For PS4 Pro
CD Projekt RED have confirmed they want to concentrate on Gwent and Cyberpunk 2077, rather than remastering The Witcher 3. Players wishing to experience the game in 4K can always get the game on PC, or as tactical20 says, “wait until it’s re-released on PS5”. - Digimon World: Next Order Won’t Be On Vita After All
Bandai Namco cleared up some confusion over which platforms Next Order will be appearing on, but colmshan1990 is still confused as to why a Japanese Vita game being ported to PS4 for a Western release won’t be available on Vita for Western owners. - The PSVR Tour Dates For England And Scotland Confirmed
The PSVR tour kicks off this weekend in Birmingham at EGX, followed by several other cities over the next few weeks. There’s a decent selection of games to try out, so will you be trying to make it to an event? - Gain Access To A Multiplayer Mode In Titanfall 2 By Eating Chicken
By far the strangest headline on TSA this week, EA have teamed up with Buffalo Wild Wings for a promotional campaign. But, as JR. says “Will nobody think about the Vegans?” - Assassin’s Creed Will Return “When It’s Ready”
Not even Yves Guillemot knows when that might be.
- October’s Games With Gold Includes Super Mega Baseball And The Escapists
Microsoft announced the latest free games, but Avenger’s “not feeling this month’s line-up at all”. - The Oculus Touch Controllers Have An RRP Of £189
I get the feeling that if people ask in 5 years time why didn’t VR catch on, headlines like these will be ‘Exhibit 1’.

This Week’s Features
Dave kicked off his week with a look at the BioShock Collection, and asked the all important question: is the remaster worth it? He and his missus also shared their thoughts on the last three Fallout 4 DLC packs that round off the Season Pass.
Stefan had a busy week as usual, and started with a look back at Dear Esther, which most people would agree was the birth of the walking simulator genre. Love or hate the genre, the Landmark Edition is now out on PS4 and Xbox One and includes a developer commentary.
Meanwhile, to mark the 20th anniversary of Tomb Raider, the anniversary edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider will arrive on PS4 (at last!) with all the DLC and new Co-op Endurance mode. Tef also spoke to Senior Community Manager, Meagan Marie about Lara’s journey over the last 20 years, and explored Croft Manor and the co-op mode in his video, here.
Elsewhere, Destiny’s Rise of Iron’s new raid was released last night, with Jake giving his first impression of the expansion as the game marks its third birthday. Have any TSA’ers completed the raid yet? How did you find it?
Finally, this week’s What We Played featured Destiny, The Bunker and Syberia.

Your Achievements
Crazy_Del bagged himself two Platinums this week, the first for Until Dawn which he played “only” twice to get different endings, followed by Ratchet and Clank which he seemed to really enjoy.
Although FIFA 17 hasn’t impressed DividSmythe with his new Xbox One S purchase, PES 2017 and GTA V have done. Meanwhile, R1MJAW has been busy this week, platinuming Absolute Drift and Nightmares from the Deep, after which he finished his first play through of Unepic.
Tactical20 has finished part 1 of Bioshock’s Burial at Sea DLC with all the trophies, while Transitioning Peasant had to endure 50 rounds of the Frozen game so his missus could get a trophy – I hope that wasn’t just for a Bronze!

Tony Cawley
I love the week ahead section. I did not know xcom 2 was coming out this Tuesday, wow! I’ll be all over that!
Fifa has already been pre ordered for Thursday, both me and my boy are looking forward to building our ultimate team together.
Starman
I’m not sure that’s right as every website I’ve looked at says Friday 30th. Looking forward to it either way!
RudeAwakening
Any word on Sony setting up PSVR demo booths in Ireland?

I really liked the article about Dear Esther. It’s not a game I’ve played but I think I’ll pick it up on Steam now, I’ve got my eye on The Rapture too. I don’t mind that there’s bugger all gameplay, these successful walking sims all seem to have very strong narrative, so I guess they’re like short stories with graphics.
Andrewww
You just made me aware of Dear Esther, I’ve completely missed that one, also in the article above, thanks for that. ;o)
I’ve recently played quite a few of those ‘walking sims’, Everybody’s gone to the Rapture, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Firewatch, and the brilliant Gone Home (my favourite out of these), and I’ve not regretted buying/playing one of them.
ron_mcphatty
Oh no, I remember seeing Gone Home on the Plus offerings but not adding it to my library because I didn’t like the thumbnail picture and didn’t even bother to look the game up! I am such a loser of a book cover judger! I also really enjoyed Firewatch and didn’t expect it to be a walker, I even got a bit annoyed an hour or so in when I realised there wasn’t much game to it, then soon after started loving the story and before long it was over and I was in awe. What did you think of Rapture? That’s probably my next purchase, after Battlefront’s Death Star… peow peow!
Andrewww
Oh no, that’s quite a shame indeed..! I recently wrote in a ‘What we played’ comment that for me, Gone home is likely to be the best game I played in 2016, and that’s still what I think. It’ll be on sale for sure some time.
From now on, just always add all Plus games to your list, even if you think they’re rubbish, ok? ;o)
I liked Rapture a bit more than Vanishing. It is very beautiful to watch, explore the villagers dialogues, and slowly finding out more about what’s going on. It is more Sci-fi than Firewatch, but I’d say if you liked that one, you probably enjoy it. Not as much as you’d like Gone home, of course… ;o)
ron_mcphatty
I should you’re right, I keep only adding what I think I’ll play and then I don’t play them anyways :)
Good to hear Rapture is a bit sci-fi, I’ve read quite a few truly miserable end of the world books this year so it’ll fit the theme well! I’ll stick Gone Home on my wish list then, fingers crossed for a good xmas sale.
Avenger
Is the Forza Horizon 3 coverage/review actually going to happen? Or will it be like ReCore and get mentioned in the ‘something for the weekend’ article but actually not exist?
I know you guys don’t have a review copy for FH3, but ReCore has been out for at least a week now.
Dominic Leighton
We do have review code for FH3, though sadly it only arrived late on Thursday. With EGX on we’re hoping to have something up for launch with a review towards the end of the week.
Avenger
Thanks, look forward to it.
