Uncharted 4’s Massive Co-op Update Launches Tomorrow

When Naughty Dog said they had something special in mind for Uncharted 4’s co-op mode, they weren’t messing around. Although some fans were hoping for new story missions ala Uncharted 2, it’s hard to argue with what the studio has in store for tomorrow’s update.

In many ways, co-op is its own separate mode, detached from the competitive multiplayer. Aside from the feel and flow of its wave-based encounters against the AI, there’s a new rank systems and plenty of rewards that come with it.

Up to three fortune seekers can buddy up and take on an army of mercenaries across Uncharted 4’s fantastic pool of maps. There looks to be plenty of variety among enemy types with even a pirate warlord or two thrown into the mix. It’s not just about gunning down as many of them as you can, either. As you swing, shoot, and slug, there’ll be objectives to carry out as well, putting your strategic skills to the test.

Competitive players are in for a treat too. Two new maps – one original, one classic – will make their way into the rotation alongside five new weapons and a glut of skins. After seeing the “Warrior Drake” costume, you may change your stance on microtransactions.
