UK Charts 31/12/16 – Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Top For Christmas & The New Year

With the last fortnight containing all the last minute Christmas shopping and the heady rush of the Boxing Day sales, the top five on the UK charts came to an almost complete standstill. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare held onto the top spot for another two weeks, making it four weeks at the top, with FIFA 17 in second and Battlefield 1 in third. Watch Dogs 2 held onto fourth over Christmas, but switched places with GTA V in the last week.

There was some shuffling behind them, though, as Mafia III ended the year strongly in 6th, Rocket League boosted back into the top 10, and console bundles helped Uncharted 4 climb eighteen places up to 8th place.

  1. Not surprising as it’s usually is the christmas period that COD gets a boost in sales. What is surprising is that GTA5 is back or still in the charts.

Shame about FFXV but I suspect it’s due to the whole Brokvember thing being packed with too many games and the recent announcement to….

    patch in….

I fecking hate the industry sometimes. FINISH THE FLIPPING GAME BEFORE RELEASING IT! I do not fancy buying a game, spending hours installing patch after patch and then having no time to play it as a result of said patches.

  2. Not surprising with Infinite Warfare, it’s pretty heavily discounted andm has been for the last couple of weeks.

  3. Steep seems to be hanging around despite poor reviews, but I guess the swift price cut helped.
