Check Out The Trailer For The First Resident Evil 7 DLC, Out Today

The first batch of DLC for Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will be out on January 31st (today) on PlayStation 4, whilst Xbox One and PC owners will have to wait until February 21st due to Sony throwing money at Capcom.

Banned Footage Vol. 1, will be available starting January 31 for $9.99, and includes two tapes as well as a new mode:

  1. Man a DLC after Resident Evil 7 “full game” launched just Last Week!!!
    Capcom is a fucking joke!
Even worse with (Does not support PS VR)
Thats £25 of both DLC’s in total who knows when and how much will Banned Footage 3 will be!

    • Not £25 for both. For some reason, the $9.99 for the first one is only £7.99 for the UK. Which is pretty much the correct price if they didn’t charge VAT, which would make it closer to £9.99 (although they might charge £9.59 in that case)

So it’s about 17% cheaper than the US price would normal translate to.

I guess the second DLC would be £11.99?

Still makes £20 for DLC for a game that launched just last week. Or alternatively, it’s a “fuck you Capcom, I’ll wait for the price to come down or I can get a full game for full price”.

  2. I don’t mind dlc being released alongside the main game. The game feels pretty complete as it is and if day one/week one dlc keeps the costs of new games from rising, I don’t see the issue.

I completed RE7 over the weekend and it’s fantastic. First Person perspective takes a while to get used to and the opening chapters are a bit ‘wacky’ but after the first quarter or so of the game, it all comes together and is unquestionably the most ‘Resident Evil’ Resident Evil game since REmake.

I won’t spoil anything but the later sections of the game are absolutely terrifying.

  3. One fecking week. Really? Not even waiting a month?

DLC that sounds like it has been taken out of the game to flog back to us. Seriously, most of it sounds like something that is easy to patch in or easy to put in but no, they just had to do this.

    FFS.

And they want £20 for this? £20 for… hmm, let’s see:

A extra hard mode that should have been free via patch
A horde mode that should have been free.
An optional extra mode that should have been in the game.

3 fecking things. The others, it sounds like it’s something that is not part of the game or could disrupt pacing but the rest? FECK YOU, CAPCOM!

You were behaving for a while! Don’t start your DLCMania crap again. I don’t want to adopt the policy of “OH COME ON! IT’S GREAT BUT BECAUSE IT’S CAPCOM, I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE COMPLETE EDITION OR SPEND OVER £100!” again..

In fact, i recall hearing about the ending hinting at DLC. You utter bucking fastards! If that’s true.

Seriously, Capcom? The one franchise that needs to do everything it can and so far, is succeeding with 7, to win back it’s fans and you decide to Capcom all oveer it?

Yes, I know it’s just DLC but crap like this allows me to pretend to be a part of the current generation. :P

Wonder how angry Hazelam will be?

  4. You don’t have to buy it you know.

    • Anticipating the upcoming protest at Downing Street for gamers rights :D
