CCP Games is best known for EVE and all of its subsequent games, including the VR titles EVE: Valkyrie and EVE: Gunjack. Now the company is moving into new territories with its latest VR game, named Sparc, which ditches Space for sport. Sparc is an online sports title where players use their motion controllers to throw projectiles at one another, while deflecting and blocking incoming ones. It sounds like a VR version of Pong really.
Going by the trailer though there seem to other sports thrown into the mix, and CCP has stated there will be multiple two player modes, as well as single player challenges and training. Sparc will allow players to spectate matches from courtside while they wait to join match themselves. The game is expected later this year.
