Volition went pretty quiet about Agents of Mayhem after giving people a first glimpse of the cartoonish world in their new IP at E3 last year. Out went the Saints and in came a new cast of characters, a new cartoonish setting, but a continuation of the studio’s brand of humour and devotion to all things purple.
After around 9 months of silence, they’re ready to talk again, releasing a new trailer for the game and announcing an August release date. It’s out on 15th August in the US and 18th August in the EU for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
We actually went hands on with the game last week, so come back for our impressions this afternoon.

Can’t really move for this type of game these days, it’s going to have to be very good to stand out.

I’m not actually sure what type of game this is.. Saints Row was GTA-ish, but this trailer feels Overwatch-y.
