For Honor’s Second Season Of Content Is Unleashed On 16th May

Borrowing a similar post-release model to Rainbow Six: Siege, For Honor is set to grow over time with regular content updates that are free for all players. The second season of content, dubbed Shadow and Might, is arriving on 16th May. It will feature two new heroes, two new maps and a bunch of customisation items, alongside tweaks to the gameplay.

The two new characters are the Shinobi, a Samurai Assassin, that wields the traditional Japanese Kusarigama, and the Centurion, a Knight Hybrid, who is equipped with a gladius and is designed to bypass enemy defences. The two new maps are called Forge and Temple Garden, while a new level of gear rarity, Epic gear, is increasing the maximum gear score that’s possible, with the entire gear stats system being rebalanced in the forthcoming update.

As with R6 Siege, season pass holders get a little bit of a head start. The maps are available for all on the 16th, but the two new characters are exclusive to season pass holders for one week, from the 16th to the 23rd, at which point they can be unlocked with in-game Steel.

  1. I’ve lost interest in the game now sadly. I really enjoyed my time with it but Ubisoft have annoyed me with prioritising money making customisation rollouts ahead of fixing the games many problems.

On top of that it’s just got a bit stale, it’s in desperate need of new game modes.

Once the glitched trophies eventually ping to give me the platinum I’ll be trading in.

    • I agree!

      • I’m still to do quite a bit on it story wise and certain others but yeah, once I’ve eventually Platted it I’ll be done. Real fun game though. About 60-70 hours so far so not a waste of money by any stretch. Glad you guys ‘made’ me buy it! :)

  2. Looking forward to trying the two new heroes but it looks like most of For Honor’s casual players have moved on.

Hoping they’ll add new game modes soon to help spice things up.
