The Witcher 3 Is Being Enhanced With Xbox One X And PlayStation 4 Pro Support

Witch this space.

CD Projekt Red have certainly changed their tune, having previously stated that, with the development of Cyberpunk 2077 and a standalone Gwent game, updating The Witcher 3 to make use of the PS4 Pro would be too time consuming. It seems that Microsoft have managed to convince them otherwise, as the game appeared in the background of their E3 press conference, as a game that would be updated to support Xbox One X.

While the specific details are thin on the ground, CD Projekt Red did confirm to Eurogamer that this was the case, with a spokesperson saying, “I can confirm that we are working both on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro patches for The Witcher 3. No extra details at this moment. More info is coming.”

Turns out some serious competition between Xbox and PlayStation really is good for everyone.

It is. 4K is gaining a bit more traction, slowly but surely. Should benefit the mid-generation upgrade a lot.

  2. I’m currently playing through this again. I think I’m up to 7 playthroughs, not sure. As time passes it climbs my all time favorites list and if I get an X or a Pro then I’ll unquestionably be playing it.

  3. Great news, one of my favorite games. I will hold of doing new game + for now then.
