The rumours for a SNES mini have been doing the rounds ever since Nintendo announced that production of NES Classic was stopping and lo and behold, here is the official announcement.
The console, which looks like the original console but smaller – Europe gets the good looking one below, while the US gets it uglier cousin – contains 21 pre-installed classic games and can easily be plugged into any high-definition TV using the included HDMI cable. Two “classic” wired SNES controllers are also included.
Here’s that all important list of games, and eagle eyed Nintendo fans will spot  that the previously unreleased Star Fox 2 is on there.

Got mine this morning at my local game as I gave up with their website due to errors and stuff.
As Youles said it’ll sit nicely next to Mini SNES and would love a mini 64 to complete a trilogy of minis along with Goldeneye, Duke Nuken and Mario 64

And naturally, Ninty will purposely ensure that there is shortages to generate demand. Game has just bumped up the £10 deposit to £50 to try to stop scalpers and I won’t be surprise if they stop making this in the next 6 months. Just like the Classic NES. Remember that? I do.

Managed to get one about 30mims ago via Nintendo. Had email.went through….. After I ordered was all sold out.

I feel the pain there… my wife was meant to get me a NES one for my birthday last year… but she leaves everything to the last minute and she looked 2 days before…. :(
but I was more of a SNES it was my first console, loved the NES but had ZX Speccy and Amiga before for my gaming.
