Oculus Rift + Touch Bundle Cut To £399/$399/€449 In Summer Of Rift Deal

If you’ve been on the fence about Oculus Rift, the now is absolutely the time to hop on board. Part of the Summer of Rift sales that kicked off a couple weeks ago, you can now get the Oculus Rift + Touch bundle for just £399/$399/€449, which is a huge $200 price cut.

This follows on the back of the price cut earlier this year, which brought the bundled price of Oculus Rift and its Touch motion controllers down to $598, but the $399 price is very much a temporary promotion, with no definitive end point stated by Oculus.

By comparison, HTC Vive costs £759/$799, while PlayStation VR has an RRP of £349/$399 without camera, additional controllers or games, though it is now quite often discounted and bundled.

Included in the box, you have everything you need to get started. There’s the headset, a pair of sensors for room scale VR, two Touch controllers and an Xbox One controller, and there’s also a healthy package of seven games for free. These are: Lucky’s Tale, Medium, Toybox, Quill, Dead and Buried, Dragon Front, and Robo Recall.

  1. Well they need to do something to kickstart the sales.

    • They only need to sell about 6.25m of them at that price to cover the $2b Facebook paid for it, along with the $500m for stealing it all in the first place.

Should be making a nice profit in about a million years time.

  2. Mighty fine price. I wish Sony would do VR + Camera + Move Controllers for £300. I’d probably dive in at that price.

Or if I had a good enough PC I’d probably do this offer for the higher quality.

  3. Great price but my pc graphics card is one step down from what’s recommended for VR.

  4. I’m surprised Oculus isn’t doing better given the interest and positivity surrounding it’s development. I guess the Facebook acquisition put some of the original community off, and the ongoing patent issue with Zenimax hasn’t helped confidence. Should be a few more takers at that price all the same.

    • I think the problem with Oculus is it suffers from middle child syndrome, it has less features than the vive and didn’t have the mass market appeal of psvr, so doesn’t really have a usp, other than paying huge amounts of money for exclusivity deals that just annoyed the hell out of the vr user base..

  5. How dare you report a NON playstation story. This offends me somehow and furthers the agenda of the corrupt crooked site! What a SAD site that doee….

Ok, i can’t even finish the joke and yes, i’ll stop taking the piss because well, as fun as it is, it also is a bit meh.

As for Oclus Rift. This is still alive? Swear it got curbstomped by the Vive and Playstation VR. Still too much though. £350 is the limit imo. £399 is just too much and well, if this is meant to be a summer sale. They fecked up. All the others need to do is knock their products down to £300.
