It turns out that the eternally warring Mushroom Kingdom and Koopa Kingdom are far from the only ones to exist in the world of Super Mario. While Mario’s adventures have taken him to other places, such as Isle Delfino, it’s really with Super Mario Odyssey that we see the full and wildly contrasting variety of what this world has to offer. Between that, the more open ended level design and the extra layers that Cappy offers to Mario’s controls and abilities, this is shaping up to be one of the most inventive Mario games to date.

Nice preview Tef! Since the first gameplay trailers I feel like I’ve gone from being genuinely indifferent to preorder-with-a-semi excited. It’s a shame they started off showing us the drab, flat city level because this last months worth of clips have looked really, really good. Can’t wait.
