As soon as Warner Bros. have resolved one kerfuffle, they’ve found themselves in another spot of bother, this time with some undesired side effects to the 1.10 update to Injustice 2. It turns out that it’s been deleting gear, or perhaps more accurately hiding gear that was earned prior to the patch.
All is not lost, as Warner and developers NorthRealm released a statement saying that you should have luck getting your gear back simply by restarting the game – presumably they’ve managed to push a fix out behind the scenes. Gear earned since yesterday – 27/09 – that has gone missing is still being investigated.
The statement from their support page reads as follows:
We’re aware that some players who downloaded the most recent Injustice 2 patch are missing Gear they have earned. For those affected by this issue – please try and reboot the game after installing the patch. This should recover any Gear earned before 9/25.
If you earned gear after 9/25 that was not restored, the game team is still investigating this issue. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this has caused and thank you for your patience!

I lost items from every character, some now showing zero items. Given how long the grind is in this game I’m more than pissed.
This is probably my favourite fighter this gen but this has really soured my feelings towards it.
The latest patch 1.11 hasn’t fixed things for me so I might be done with the game.
