Update For Classic Star Wars Battlefront II Restores Multiplayer On PC

GOG.com has announced that it has restored the online multiplayer function of the 2005 version of Star Wars Battlefront II, and that this also supports crossplay support between Steam and GOG owners of the game. Apparently this was done in partnership with Disney so this means that the game is receiving official support, and won’t just be randomly shut down.

This is the perfect time for the game to receive this update due to Star Wars Battlefront II being in the headlines already, especially with the new version having its beta held this week from tomorrow for those who pre-ordered and everyone else from Friday. The game itself is also pretty cheap to pick up nowadays so you won’t be breaking the bank to relive a classic game.

  1. Brilliant!
Just a heads up if any TSAers want to try it, make sure you have something plugged into your PC’s microphone jack. There’s a weird bug where the game crashes if you don’t have a mic plugged in.
