Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Launch Trailer Shows Nazis Getting Hurt In Many Different Ways

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is out soon and if you’ve paid any attention to the latest marketing for the game it has been showing how Nazis aren’t welcome anywhere. There’s been a bit of a hubbub about it but the series has been all about smiting Nazis since its inception. It isn’t Machine Games’ or Bethesda’s fault that the game comes at a time where it is coincidentally politically relevant.

Anyway the trailer below shows Nazis getting all sorts of weaponry applied to them in many satisfying ways. By the way the trailer does contain a spoiler so don’t click play if you want to avoid.

You too will be able to digitally punch and shoot Nazis in alternate America from October 27th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Switch players will have to wait until 2018 when they can take out Nazis on the go.

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. Not condoning what the Nazis did (at all) but this all seems rather childish to me. By turning the Nazis into ridiculous, in-human, caricatures, we forget that they were actually people and lose sight of what people are capable of when consumed with hatred (deserved or not). After all isn’t that what the Nazis did to the Jews (and others they didn’t consider to be human beings). I realise this is just a game but if massacring Nazis gets your socks off, how are you any better? For an industry that’s usually so desperate to convince non-gamers that gaming is a hobby to be taken seriously, I very much doubt this game will help their cause.
