Xbox Game Pass December Update Brings Gears 4, Darksiders & Mass Effect

Major Nelson teased it last week and what do you know? Gears of War 4 is being added to the Xbox Game Pass subscription gaming service in December. The rest of the additions this month aren’t on the same level, but good to see nonetheless, with the full line up of incoming games as follows:

  • Gears of War 4
  • Darksiders: Warmastered Edition
  • Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter
  • This War of Mine: The Little Ones
  • Casey Powell Lacrosse 16
  • Mega Man 10
  • Mass Effect

While there is the possibility for Microsoft to remove games from the service, that doesn’t seem to be happening just yet, and these seven extras will push the full list of games to 155. A lot of those are backward compatible 360 games or smaller indie titles, but there’s a number of major AAA games including Halo 5 and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. See the full list here on Microsoft’s site.

As part of their Black Friday promotions, people will be able to subscribe for much less than the usual $9.99/£7.99 monthly fee, dropping all the way down to $1/£1 for a month as an introductory promotion if you subscribe before the 27th November.
