V-Rally 4 Is Bringing The Classic Series Back In September

It’s been a long 15 years since the last game in the V-Rally series, after what was then Infogrames decided to give up after the third game, but now Bigben are revitalising it with Kylotonn Games behind the wheel. V-Rally 4 has been announced for release in September this year.

It’s an odd one, since Kylotonn have been working on the WRC series for the last few years – itself a rallying series revival – but it’s a nice idea to bring it back and should give them more creative freedom to experiment.

Fifty vehicles will be in the game for you to collect, upgrade and customise, including the Porsche 911 Safari, Ford Mustang and Ford Fiesta RS RX. Locations mentioned include Africa, Sequoia Park and Japan,  where you’ll be rallying, taking on “Extreme-Khana”, V-Rally Cross, Buggy races and hillclimbs.

Out in September, it’s coming to PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

  1. Wow, how many okay-ish racing games is this studio making? TT, Flatout, WRC and now V-Rally.

    • For me I’d be interested in a more casual rally game. DiRT Rally and DiRT 4 were far too hard for me to enjoy. One little mistake would kill it, far too frustrating. Really enjoyed V-Rally and the sequel on PS One.

  2. Loved the split screen on this back in the day and trying to nudge your mate into one of the AI drivers, always very amusing.

  3. Didn’t realise it was 15 years since the last game. I spent many hours playing V Rally split screen after the pubs had shut, which were (the not so) early hours in the morning where I live.
