God Of War’s Photo Mode Is Out Today

Santa Monica Studio has confirmed that God of War’s photo mode will be available today via a free update. Once the update is downloaded you’ll be able to take snaps of Kratos and Atreus through their adventure. There will be a total of five tabs within the mode which relate to the different elements of the picture composition, and you can see each one described below.

  • Camera: Adjust the Field of View, Focal Length, and Camera Roll.
  • Aperture: Adjust the Depth of Field, Focus Distance, and F-Stop.
  • Filters: Adjust the Film Grain, Exposure, Filter, and Filter Intensity options.
  • Borders: Add a Vignette and adjust the Vignette Intensity and Vignette Falloff. This includes a variety of Border styles and the official God of War logo.
  • Characters: Toggle the visibility of Kratos, Atreus, and all other characters in the scene. And my personal favourite, we’ve added the ability to change Kratos and Atreus’s facial expressions!

The update will also increase the text size found in the user interface and menu, as well as allow players to remap Rage Mode.

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. Smile for the camera, boy!

  2. Sounds like the standard photo mode feature set for a Sony 1st-party game – although there’s no mention of poses, they were cool in HZD’s photo mode.
Good to know it’ll be available by the time i get around to playing the game.

  3. Great news although a little late for myself as I got the Platinum last week.
It’ll be perfect for when I fancy another run through or if they add the much requested NG+.
