Nintendo Serves Up A Pre-Release Online Test For Mario Tennis Aces

We’re fast approaching the heights of tennis fever in the UK, and Nintendo’s mascot has donned his sportiest of dungarees in preparation. Mario Tennis Aces is coming out on 22nd June for Nintendo Switch, but before then Nintendo are giving prospective players a little taste of the action with a pre-launch online tournament.

The demo will be live from 3PM BST Friday 1st June until 23:59PM BST on Monday 4th June, but the software will be available to download prior to the event.

In the demo you’ll be able to play as Mario, Peach, Yoshi and Bowser, as well as unlocking five more characters if you earn enough points. Heading online, the game will take on a tournament structure – See? There’s a reason for calling it an “online tournament” – and you earn points based on your performance. You can also play single player matches against computer opponents.

Either way, taking part will unlock a free costume of Mario in his traditional dungarees in the full game.
