Cayde-6 is by far the best character in Destiny 2 thanks to a stellar performance by Nathan Fillion, but Bungie don’t care and are killing him off for their next expansion, Forsaken. They have said the death is permanent, Cayde-6 won’t be back, but I doubt it.
While we wait for the expansion, which launches on September 4th, we have a new cinematic showing Cayde-6 being totally awesome – and then being killed.
