If you thought something was missing in Rocket League for Xbox One X, then so did Psyonix. With the release of the December Update (due out on 3rd December), the game will have native 4K at 60fps on Xbox One X, and HDR support for both One X and One S.
It’s taken an awfully long time to come through, compared to the 5 months it took for PlayStation 4 Pro to get support. Psyonix spoke about this back in April, saying it would require a much more extensive rebuild by them to make happen.
Regardless of what you’re playing on, the December Update also brings leaderboards for Ranked Extra Modes, tweaks the progression to include more weekly win bonuses, adds music, community flags for Extra Life, and more.
Following the December Update, Psyonix will turn their attentions to Rocket Pass 2 and Frosty Fest 2018, both of which will start before the end of this year.
