Happy New Year!

Big Ben has broken its vow of silence to toll in the new year, marking the point at which the UK greets 2019 and all that it may hold. Whether you’ve been out partying, relaxing at home and watching/avoiding the New Years nonsense on the telly, or have had a particularly undesirable night shift to work, I’d like to wish you Happy New Year!

There’s plenty to look forward to in 2019 – well, for video games, at least – whether it’s much awaited sequels for The Last of Us or Devil May Cry, a new Animal Crossing, a remake of Resident Evil 2, or if you’re hanging on tenterhooks for word of a new generation of console.

We’ll obviously be here all the way, but we’ll soon be looking rather different. The last few months have seen a number of new faces contributing and writing for us – if you’ve not noticed them, keep an eye out for articles by Nick, Rebecca, Nic, Tom & Nicole – but in the not too distant future we’ll be going through a long, long overdue site redesign. It will be a fresh start for how the site looks and will also lay the foundations for us to change a bit about how it works, helping us to bring our writing to you in a better way that lets you stay better informed. We’ve been planning this for far, far too long, and it’s very nearly here.

But for now, let’s just soak in the celebrations and for all of us at TheSixthAxis, I’ll say it again: Happy New Year!
