With basically nothing else going on last week, Nintendo’s release of New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for Nintendo Switch sauntered onto the top of the charts. Despite the post-Christmas hangover that the industry typically sees during January, putting together a remaster of this Wii U game to start off the year looks to have been a good decision by Nintendo, and it shifted 24.8% more copies on Switch than the Wii U version did at launch. That’s also ignoring digital sales, where we’re still waiting on a combined digital and retail UK chart.
Behind Mario, FIFA 19 dropped to second and Red Dead Redemption 2 to third, both with a 50% drop in sales, then it’s Black Ops 4 before Mario and friends return with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Nintendo have got three spots in the top 10 right now, showing the strength of their core franchises. The only other new retail entry, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, could only hit 11th.
That’s really all there is to say. Here’s the top 19:

You did a top 19 last week! 2 weeks in a row with the same random sized chart is disappointing.

Can’t help it if our two D20 rolled the same number twice.
