The PlayStation Store ‘Big Games Big Discounts’ sale is now on

It’s time for another sale to hit the PlayStation Store, but while Sony promise “Big Games Big Discounts”, I’m not sure the prices and discounts actually live up to that promise. We’ve seen a lot of these price points before, whether on the store or at retail, and games from the tail end of last year are generally only dropping to £34.99 or £39.99.

The standouts would be Monster Hunter: World for £24.99, Shadow of the Tomb Raider for £25.24, and grabbing Dirt Rally VR bundle for £7.99 (especially worth it when the sequel won’t feature VR!).

But first, the Deal of the Week is Fortnite, which I’m pretty sure PlayStation thought we wouldn’t notice is actually a free game. I kid, of course. The “still in Early Access after more than 18 months and billions of dollars of income from its Battle Royale spin off” PvE Save the World mode is 50% off, down to £16.49 for the standard edition.

Here’s the full list of games on offer, with a bunch of the prices manually filled in, because I like you:

  1. There’s also a “Games under £13” and a “Games under £4” sale too.

And an upgrade to the GOTY edition of Hitman. Which was the only edition available until yesterday when the non-GOTY edition magically reappeared to be one of this months PS+ games.

  2. “Dirt Rally VR bundle for £7.99 (especially worth it when the sequel won’t feature VR!)”
Ross Gowing (Chief Games Designer) has said if there’s enough demand for VR they will do it. VR VR VR we all want VR.
