Jade Raymond heading up Google’s Stadia Games and Entertainment dev studio

Google have just unveiled their comprehensive game streaming platform, Stadia, which hooks into cloud streaming, YouTube, and offers some innovative new solutions for developers. But they aren’t just going to rely on third parties and have founded a new internal development studio, Stadia Games and Entertainment.

It’s this that will be headed up by Jade Raymond, formerly of Ubisoft and Motive Studios, who recently revealed that she was joining Google as a then unspecified VP. Stadia Games and Entertainment will not just be developing first party games, but also working alongside external developers for technical support, helping to get them up and running and to get the best out of the data centre technology.
