SEGA Genesis Mini will be launching later this year with 40 games (Updated)

SEGA made its intentions clear a while ago to follow Nintendo and Sony into the mini retro console trend hoping to cash in on some of that nostalgia. During SEGA’s FES event yesterday the company confirmed that the Genesis Mini, or the Mega Drive Mini, would be released later this year with September 19th given as the date people can expect to get their hands on the console.

SEGA stated that the console will have 40 games though the line ups will vary between regions. Some of the games confirmed include Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Comix Zone, and Castlevania Bloodlines. The pricing of the system will depend on if you opt for the one controller or two controller package with the variation roughly being $60 to $80 though these prices are subject to change.

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.
