While it’s still a little baffling why Microsoft would consider diluting the Xbox platform by bringing their published games to Nintendo Switch, the move seems to have paid off, as Cuphead topped the EU eShop charts in April – catch our Cuphead Switch review.
It headed a top 15 filled with the usual suspects, with Super Mario Odyssey in second, Skyrim third, and so on. Final Fantasy VII did well in 7th, having launched back in March, while the Switch release of cult classic Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen toward the end of April was good enough for 14th.
Here’s the top 15:
- Cuphead
- Super Mario Odyssey
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Enter the Gungeon
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Final Fantasy VII
- Rocket League
- Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition
- Minecraft
- FIFA 19
- Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
- Overcooked 2
- Stardew Valley
- Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen
- Octopath Traveler

My son bought Hungry Shark World for Switch with his pocket money. It’s completely broken and crashes every few mins. Searching online, even the developers have acknowledged it’s broken, but Nintendo have basically told me ‘tough luck’. How is that acceptable?
