Sony’s Days of Play promotion returns, includes a limited edition console and price cuts

The annual Days of Play promotion from Sony has returned with deals on consoles, PlayStation VR bundles, headsets, controllers, and games.

The Limited Edition Days of Play 1TB PlayStation 4 console will set you back £279.99/€299.99 and will launch in eight days time on 7th June. The steel-black console features the iconic PlayStation shapes embossed in silver on the top surface and comes with a matching DualShock 4 controller.


Other deals include:

  • PlayStation 4 Jet Black slim discounts, prices TBC.
  • PlayStation VR bundles:
    • PS VR Starter Pack for £179.99 / €199.99 RRP
    • PS VR Mega Pack for for £209.99 / €229.99 RRP
  • DualShock 4 and Special Edition DualShock 4 wireless controllers – from £34.99 / €39.99 RRP each
  • Gold Wireless Headset for £49.99 / €59.99 and Platinum Wireless Headset for £99.99 / €149.99 RRP
  • A wide selection of games including:
    • Days Gone for £39.99 / €49.99 RRP
    • God of War for £24.99 / €29.99 RRP
    • Marvel’s Spider-Man for £24.99 / €29.99 RRP
  • PlayStation Hits games – selected titles for £11.99 / €14.99 RRP

Days Gone is still retailing near full price on Amazon, Spider-Man is around £35 and God of War is still on sale for around £30, so it will be worth waiting for the Days of Play discounts if you were thinking of picking them up. The PlayStation Hits titles are already retailed around the £13 mark so the deal doesn’t make much difference to those. The headset have twenty quid knocked off both, but it’s the PlayStation VR sets that score the largest price cuts. The Mega Pack current retailers around then £300 mark and Amazon so that’s £90 off the price, and the Starter Pack is about £250, so you’re getting a discount of around £70.

There will also be deals on PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now via the PlayStation Store, and you can also stock up on cut price tat from PlayStation Gear. The deals will run from June 7th until June 17th at participating retailers.

    And those PSVR deals are good though, if you don’t already own a Fancyhat.
