There were quite a few announcements from EA Play’s event with one of those being the next expansion for The Sims 4. It’s called Island Living and it is coming out at a perfect time of year as we head into summer and people get ready for their holidays in the sun. It seems EA feel that Sims should have that same opportunity. Island Living allows your Sims to take a break on the island of Sulani where the sun always shines and the nights bring a relaxing freshness to them.
In Island Living you can do all the things a beach holidaymaker is supposed to do like swim in the ocean, sail in a little canoe, chill on the beach, build sandcastles, meet a mermaid. You know, the typical stuff that any beach holiday can offer. Maybe though your Sim will need some extra cash to enjoy some of the activities. Well, jobs like Conservationist are key to keeping the island in good health, or you could become a Diver, go out to sea as a Fisherman, or just keep others safe by becoming a Lifeguard. If those seem like big commitments then the other option is to just to the odd job here and there to keep the money topped up.
Sulani doesn’t just offer a beach holiday but also acts as a cultural exchange where Sims can partake in the Sulani festivities and day to day life. The big party is the Island Celebration which is the big opportunity to get to know the locals. Though you can also just wander about and run into the ancient spirits that call the island home and offer them your time to do tasks that will keep them happy. There will also be new outfits available to make sure you fit into the island vibe as well.
The Sims 4: Island Living will be available on June 21st for PC/Mac, and July 16th for PS4 and Xbox One.
