It’s been a couple of years since Monument Valley 2 was released with Ustwo Games taking the time to work on other projects, with two games already confirmed to be in development. Today the studio announced that a third game is set to begin development and that is Monument Valley 3. The announcement was made in a Tweet in which the studio is looking to hire a game director to lead the project and help make it as iconic as the previous titles. If you think you’re qualified you can apply here.

Way back when we had a look at the original Monument Valley, quite unaware of just how big it would get, and at the time wrote, “Monument Valley feels like a breath of fresh air. It’s a one-off payment of £2.49, and you’re realistically only going to get two hours out of this, but it’s worth that and more. There are no in-app purchases, no adverts. It’s a clean, sublime experience which definitely shouldn’t be missed on tablets and is really worth considering on mobile devices too. And while it’s only on iOS right now, an Android version is in the works.”
There’s no release window yet for Monument Valley 3 as it has just started production but we’ll keep an eye out for any updates as they are revealed.
