A new gameplay overview trailer has been released for The Surge 2 which explores areas from customisation to combat. Deck13 previously confirmed that players would be able to fully customise how their characters will look, with this overview showing various elements that can be changed like hairstyle, eye colour, skin colour, physique and gender. This gives players the chance to make someone resembling themselves or go all out and build some unique looking protagonists. In addition, the customisation options show how players could be carrying their equipment and how it looks.
This isn’t the first overview we’ve seen of the game but it does show decent bits of how The Surge 2 will play. There are showings of the combat and how enemies can be targeted limb by limb to acquire certain loot. However, it is probably better to check out the eight minutes of gameplay that shows the combat and loot acquisition in a much more in-depth way. If you’re interested in The Surge 2 and want to know more you can read two different previews we wrote here and here.

The Surge 2 is shaping up to be a serious contender in the tough Soul-bourne genre this year, and while it’s undoubtedly built upon the foundations that the first game laid, it looks as though it’s truly found its own identity, backed up by some seriously visceral, enjoyable sci-fi combat.
The Surge 2 will be released on September 24th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
