IGI: Origins will be bringing back the Cold War in 2021

Antimatter Games is working on a brand new entry to the IGI series almost 20 years after the release of Project IGI. IGI: Origins is a prequel to that title and will be a full spy game set during the Cold War, in this case the 1980’s so towards the end of this particular ideological conflict. The game is a while away yet and is not expected to release until 2021 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Players will be able to choose to play as a male or female MI6 spy called Regent as they travel the globe doing spy things like infiltrating bases and taking out opposition soldiers. The main character is someone who has to redeem themselves after some kind of incident and the way to do that is to stop nuclear annihilation. Usually at work bringing in some donuts works so this spy must have really messed up. More information about IGI: Origins will be released soon.
