With Sony and MediaMolecule having removed the Creators Early Access from sale over the weekend, they’ve now revealed the next step for the ambitious creation game: a full release!
Announced in the State of Play stream, Dreams will be on sale on 14th February, for all the dreamers, explorers and lovers out there.
Here’s the stream at the spot of the latest trailer for the game, showcasing some of the many incredible creations already in the Early Access form.
With the full release rapidly approaching, there’s an awful lot that Mm have to add to the game compared to the Early Access. Still on the to-do list are the non-motion controls for the game, PSVR support, better tutorials and how-to content for all levels, the Homespace and Imp Quests and creating the first Mm stories, called Art’s Dream.
The Creator Early Access version of the game was released back in April, welcoming players in to explore the game and start creating. It was the second public stage of development, after the beta this time last year, for a game that was first teased during the PlayStation 4 reveal press event way back in 2013.
Though it’s now been removed from sale, that doesn’t mean that the Early Access is over. Anyone that bought it before Sunday will still be able to play the games that people have created, or explore the creation tools to create your own – the Early Access will still be available to play for those that have bought it, it’s just the ability to actually buy it that’s being removed.
Marking the end of the year and the end of Early Access are the first IMPY Awards, looking at everything created over the last 7 months. Some categories are decided by Mm, while others (marked with a * in the list below) are voted for by the community, with nominations having opened yesterday.

The winners will be decided and announced in January with a stream on the 26th January. Who will go into the full release of the game with all the glory of having won a pre-release award?
