EA is on the hunt for more staff to add to its Star Wars development team as three job listings revealed. The publisher is looking to hire a senior character artist, a level designer, and a senior software engineer to work on a third-person action-adventure game set in the Star Wars universe, which opens up a number of possibilities. It is probably way too early to speak about a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order since that only released a month ago and greenlighting a sequel so soon after a release would be surprising.
While Star Wars Battlefront II has been running quite smoothly now after its nightmare launch the game did release over two years ago, and now could be the time EA is looking to add another entry to that franchise. The job listings could point to the story portion of a Star Wars Battlefront 3. After all, Battlefront 2 had one which introduced Iden Versio into the universe. It could be a major hitter to have to release on the next generation of consoles too.
There’s also the possibility that EA is looking to create another new experience for the Star Wars universe, or revisit some classics. It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Republic Commando, or Bounty Hunter which in turn could be influenced by The Mandalorian. There’s a load of possibilities that EA could explore which has the license until 2023.
