It may be Christmas but the news doesn’t stop. A couple of weeks ago the site Gamestat leaked Resident Evil 3 remake through artwork that had been listed for the PS Store. Now that same site has scraped some more data, and this time it seems to have found evidence for a Final Fantasy VII Remake demo. There’s no official word on a demo but according to the data this demo will be available worldwide when it is released. There’s no information on what content would be in the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo, but it is likely to be what has been shown during events which is the bombing mission.
Recently we learned that Final Fantasy VII Remake is very likely going multiplatform after updated box artwork showed a sticker saying “Play it first on PS4” with a timed exclusive date of up until March 3rd 2021. We also know that Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 is already in development, a fact confirmed by Tetsuya Nomura in a meet the team article put out by Square Enix.
Back in June during E3 Miguel got some hands on time with the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo and he wrote:
It’s still hard to believe, but this game really is coming. Whether we get one disc or three, the content is bound to be worthwhile if this brief demo was any indication. The decision to shift form turn-based action to something more real time will remain contentious for devout fans, but it’s inventive and rewarding. Square observed the flaws of their action combat from Final Fantasy XV, and improved on every part of it. Having gone hands on, I now can’t wait for even more when the game launches in March 2020.
You can read the full preview here. As Miguel said Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available March 3rd, 2020.
