Team Ninja has released the results of the Nioh 2 survey that followed the beta and has stated the things that will be changed for the final release of the game. Among the top changes was balancing Nioh 2’s difficulty, adjust penalties for players in the Dark Realm, reduce ki damage and recovery time on players. add active skills to all weapons, and change shrine locations so they are easier to find when exploring the world. Team Ninja also disclosed what the impressions of players were regarding the Nioh 2 beta. 83% of players had an overall positive experience with the beta, though the satisfaction of the UI dropped to 66%. 73% of players liked the graphics while 21% thought they were average. The tutorial will require some improvement too with the satisfaction of that coming in at 66% as well.
Tom Lee, Creative Director of Team Ninja, posted following statement about the Nioh 2 beta:
It was a tremendous learning experience for us as we carefully examined you guys playing the demo. We really appreciate the massive amount of responses submitted to our questionnaire after the play through. Our team has thoroughly read and reviewed everyone’s constructive feedback, and with that input we are working diligently towards fine-tuning the build for the final game. On a side note, the Nioh 2 Open Beta demo and its save data can now be deleted. For those of you who have earned The Mark of The Demon Slayer, rest assured it will not be removed even if the Open Beta demo data is deleted.
Nioh 2 is set to be released on March 13th exclusively for PS4.
